Step Back in Time
Why is it called "Step Back in Time" you might ask? Well, when I first acquired this 22 acre wooded parcel of land I was grieving over the loss of a relationship. As I walked the property with its many trees, large brook and birds singing, I found solace. One day as I walked the trails there I saw a vision for the property. The vision God gave me for this property was to have cabins built, not just any cabins, but old timey cabins. The cabins would be used to help other women who've come on hard times. I believe most people find solace in God's natural world. Since the cabins are on the back of the property and you have to cross a creek, a bridge was built. In front of the bridge, you will see the sign "Step Back in Time-A Healing Place". And that's what we want it to be, a place of solace, a healing place.
Mission
Step Back In Time's mission is to provide a healing place for women (and their children) who need help transistioning to independent living. These women may come out of addiction, abuse or just fallen into hard times. They may be still teenagers who have aged out of other kinds of assisted living. We provide a step up with temporary housing (in our small cabins in the woods), mentoring and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
Vision
Sharing the unconditional love of Jesus with others through the gifts of His creation. Step Back in Time will have gardens, hiking trails, a fishing pond and some livestock: chickens, goats and miniature cows. There will be a pergola for a group gathering place. And sharing the Greatest Adventure of all: living life God's way.
